It's newly woven in the Turkish tradition, referencing a Turkish word meaning wheat. Weavers use a special technique to produce raised wheat reliefs typically used in these buğdaylı kilims. In addition, this kilim is woven with finer spun wool than my standard production, giving it a thinner profile while allowing the weaver to make more intricate patterns and graceful curves.
